Farm together watering8/19/2023 20% of $15 isn't dick (apple trees) but 20% of $100 (mango) is very much worth it. For example, the boost extra on Mangos is way more advantage than when used on an apple tree. In this case, the boost will yield a greater advantage to things with a high harvest value. The 20% boost applies to the actual harvest value since it doesn't actually have a profit margin associated with it. The boost applies differently to multiple harvest things like trees, flowers and fish. An item that sells for 10k but only has a 1k profit will yield less boot value than a crop that sells for 5k but has a 1.5k profit margin. You should pick out a crop that has a high profit margin for use with the boost rather than picking out a crop with a high sale price. So, as you can see, the friend boost will gain more value with high profit items opposed to high sale price items. So the sell price will be 5.5k + 1.8k = 7.3k. The above figures do not factor in watering, item level nor friend boost.īoost, for single harvest crops applies a 20% bonus to the PROFIT of a crop (not the sale price).įor example: Sunflowers - 2.2k (sale) -1.5k (purchase) =. If you use a fruit stand, fruit converts to diamonds at 3.125 per diamond. Fruit is valuable in presses to convert to jam (and 5 diamonds at a rate of 10 fruit per diamond) and jam converts into medals. Pineapple unlocks at 32 and has a 1.5k profit and matures in 16hrs. ![]() That was my go-to crop for a long time until I unlocked Pineapple. It produces nuts and nuts convert to diamonds at a rate of 2.66 nuts per diamond. Profit at level 1 is 700k per and mature in 8hs. Especially since the only impact water has in this game is just on the animals.Sunflowers unlock at 17. I would regard the used of mods that are not tied into the Game Mechanics more time wasting to that of people crating transporter beams to do their hauling for them.Ĭompletely agree the impact of weather should be more integrated than it currently is. Would be a great idea, if they find a way to make weather impact your yields. I know as of now, Seasons mod, has no effect on crop yields. Unless there is a mod out there, that effects crop yields, that I dont know about. In FS17, weather dont effect your crop yields either way, so irrigating mods, would just be for show. I wouldnt think they irrigate all that much wheat or barley either for that matter. I think they tend to use their irrigation where they plant corn yr after yr, as corn doesnt do well in dry years, where as soybeans, tends to hold up better during dryer yrs. Irrigation tends to be used more out in the Western part of farm country here in the US, I know Nebraska tends to have quite a bit of Irrigated farm land. ![]() I havent traveled the country, too much, but I figure both Illinois and Iowa, who actually have even richer top soil than we do in Central Indiana, you probably wont see much Irrigation in those parts either. You will also see some Irrigation in the southern part of Indiana You get farther north in Indiana, you will see some irrigation due to some sandy loam soils. You take where I farm, in Central Indiana, we have a lot of rich black soil, mixed with clay, so Irrigation really wouldnt be profitable most yrs, although would have been nice to have during drought yrs, lol. It all depends on your soil and where your farm is located. If soil has high clay content water is well retain and irrigation not required, but if there is high sand/gravel content then the water leaks out of the soil and irrigation is necessary to grow crops. ![]() I am from Midwest USA and irrigation is done in some areas depending on soil type and water availability. There are plenty of places in the world where there is very little irrigation used in agriculture.
